ABOUT

My creative biography.
I am Anneta Zezulia
painting
painting
I want to share my story with you and tell you a little about myself.
I WAS BORN IN MINSK. I LIVE AND WORK IN ST. PETERSBURG. FROM 2005 TO
THE PRESENT DAY, I HAVE HELD OVER 30 EXHIBITIONS, SOME OF WHICH WERE SOLO. MY WORKS CAN BE FOUND IN MUSEUMS, GALLERIES, AND PRIVATE COLLECTIONS AROUND THE WORLD.

Since childhood, I had a special interest in art and creativity. I would draw everything around me, anything that came into my hands: on the walls of my room, in school notebooks, and textbooks. My first masterpieces appeared when I was just six years old, or maybe even earlier, no one really remembers. My parents, although they didn't always fully understand my passion, always supported me.

I was a withdrawn child, and I had few friends. I had to create my own friends on canvas and communicate with them. As for real people, I observed them closely. They may have noticed how I watched them, but probably didn't understand that I simply enjoyed observing how they talked and expressed emotions, seeking uniqueness in each person. Perhaps I should apologize to them. But I couldn't help it.

After completing secondary school and an art school, I made the decision to dedicate my life to art. Enrolling in the Minsk Institute of Arts, I began to study various styles and techniques of painting, sculpture, and graphics. My artistic career began in my hometown, where I created my first paintings, which later became part of my first series of works.

First exhibition

In 2004, my first solo exhibition took place, marking that year as my debut as a professional artist. Initiating work on my inaugural exhibition was no easy task, and it required significant efforts to assemble the entire collection into a cohesive whole. The work continued day and night. I chose a small gallery in the city center and reached out to the organizers. They supported me and assisted in organizing the event. When the exhibition was opened, my heart was literally bursting with excitement. I received numerous positive emotions and even a few offers to purchase paintings, although most of the buyers were my close friends and family. However, the most important thing for me was that I could share my art and passion with the world

TIME STOPS WHEN I DRAW.
I FEEL ONLY WHAT HAPPENS DEEP INSIDE ME, IN MY HEART. AND THIS FEELING NEVER DISAPPEARS. WITH THE HELP OF A BRUSH, I TRY TO EXPRESS IT OUTWARD. PAINTING HAS BECOME AN INTEGRAL PART OF ME, LIKE BREATHING.

Early years

The first years after graduating from college were challenging. I worked in non-profit organizations and taught painting to adults and children to make ends meet. But I didn't give up. My perseverance and dedication to my craft gave me hope that my works would be noticed. It took a long time after the first exhibition.

The turning point came when one of my employers saw my pieces and decided to help submit them to various international competitions. My works caught the attention of several art critics and art scholars.

Gradually, my pieces began to attract more attention among art collectors. Various art galleries started reaching out to me. I began to travel more around the world. During my travels, I realized that my paintings were not as highly valued in my hometown. This made me understand that I was moving in the right direction and needed to work even harder.

I began to organize solo exhibitions in Portugal, Germany, Russia, Belarus, France, Lithuania, and the Netherlands. My works are gradually finding their way into the collections of various art galleries across Europe and America. I grew to love traveling and meeting people. The money from selling paintings already allows me to support myself, and I can dedicate more time to my art without being distracted by anything else.

Loss of

The year 2014 began with the bitter loss of my close friend. He had always been by my side, inspiring me with his positivity and unwavering faith in me. We spent a lot of time together, and he was a source of inspiration for me. This loss was a tremendous blow to me, and I felt like I had lost a part of myself. This event plunged me into deep sadness.

To cope with the loss and change my surroundings, I decided to move to St. Petersburg. It was an old house on the outskirts of the city, possessing a mysterious character. Here, in the quiet and solitude, I decided to restore my inner world. I was filled with melancholy and nostalgia, and I tried to convey my memories of my friend on canvas.

Gradually, with each new painting, I felt that my friend was returning to me, albeit in a different dimension. His image began to emerge on the canvases - sometimes in details, sometimes in the expressions of the characters. These were not just paintings; they were my conversations with my friend, an attempt to preserve his spirit in my art. This process taught me to overcome pain and keep the memory of a loved one alive.

Stress

Over time, I began to submit my paintings to auctions, and my exhibitions started to attract more attention. However, recognition brought its own challenges. Among them was constant stress and pressure; the audience and critics began to expect increasingly outstanding works at each new exhibition. I felt that my talent had become my burden, demanding constant improvement and innovation.

I encountered the problem of losing my personal life. My schedule was so busy that I had no time left for friends and family. I spent days and nights in the studio, immersing myself in the world of my canvases and forgetting about the outside world.

painting
Now

However, at exhibitions, I met many young artists and wonderful people, and it changed my life. Under their influence, I began to spend more time outside the studio. We traveled together, painted, and drew inspiration from each other. My paintings became more vibrant and emotional, and my style evolved under the impact of new experiences and emotions.

Soon, I made the decision to organize a joint exhibition, where I combined my paintings with the works of my close friends and colleagues. I realized that art could be not only an individual creative process but also a collaborative one that brings inspiration and joy.

Currently, I have found a balance between my artistic career and personal life. I have come to understand that success in art is not just about fame and recognition but also about the ability to find harmony between creativity and life. By sharing my story, I have found the meaning of art within myself after receiving recognition from the outside.

I hope that my creativity continues to inspire and delight people, transporting them to the wonderful realms of beauty and harmony, while also encouraging fellow artists to follow their passion and not be afraid to forge their own path in the world of art.

Creative process

From idea to creation of a painting

HELLO, FRIENDS! TODAY
I WANT TO SHARE WITH
YOU AN EXCITING JOURNEY
INTO THE ART WORLD - THE
PROCESS OF CREATING
A PICTURE.

Every painting starts with a spark of inspiration, which then transforms into a vibrant masterpiece of art. Let's dive together into this captivating world and witness how works of art come to life.

Step 1: Inspiration and Idea

Every painting begins with an idea or a strong inspiration. Moments of natural beauty, intense emotions, or even abstract thoughts can serve as the foundation for a new creation. This stage is the most crucial because it's where all future creativity takes root..

Step 2: Sketch and Planning

After the idea is conceived, it's time to create the initial sketch. The artist experiments with composition, forms, and colors. This helps determine which painting will best convey the intended vision.

Step 3: Material Selection and Technique

Once the sketch is ready, the artist decides on the materials and techniques to be used in the work. Some prefer acrylic paints for their vibrant and saturated colors, while others opt for oil paints for their depth and smoothness. It is also important to choose an appropriate canvas or paper for the project.

Step 4: Gradual implementation

The process of creating a painting is a creative and often nonlinear journey. The artist brings their ideas to life on canvas or paper, gradually giving form to their thoughts and emotions. This can take several days or even weeks, depending on the complexity and size of the artwork.

Step 5: Perfection

Once the painting is complete, the artist begins the process of refining it to perfection. They carefully examine the details, adjust shadows and highlights, add fine touches to bring harmony and completeness to the artwork.

Step 6: Introducing to the World

When the painting is ready, the artist presents it to the world. It can be displayed in a gallery, shared with friends and acquaintances, or presented online. Completing the process of creating a painting is a special moment for the artist when they share their creation with the world.

I BELIEVE THAT ART IS NOT JUST THE CREATION OF BEAUTIFUL IMAGES BUT ALSO A WAY TO EXPRESS ONE'S EMOTIONS, THOUGHTS, AND SOUL THROUGH VISUAL MEANS.

I understand that achieving mastery in art requires time, diligence, and self-discipline. I am ready to work on myself and evolve as an artist.
Uniting and experimenting
I see art as a powerful means to unite different cultures and people. I aspire for my works to inspire, enrich, and bring beauty to the world. I am open to new techniques, materials, and ideas. I encourage bold experiments and innovations in art that can change the world around us.
Art is a gift that you need to know how to use
I understand that art is a gift that we share with the world. I strive to share my works and contribute to the cultural heritage. I believe that art has the power to impact society. I use art to raise questions and provoke discussions on important social issues.
Freedom in my heart
I acknowledge the right of every artist to freedom of expression and creative self-expression. I respect the diversity of art and the multifaceted nature of artistic expressions. I believe that art is an integral part of life and has the power to transform and enrich our everyday existence. We aspire to make art accessible and inspiring for everyone.

This manifesto reflects my vision of art and my place in the world of artists. I am ready to create, inspire, and change the world through our art.

With the rise of the digital era, artists have found new ways to express their art and engage with their audience. In this article, we will explore the tools available to contemporary artists and how they are changing the process of creating works of art.

Digital tools and programs:

Modern artists often use graphic tablets and computers to create digital illustrations and paintings. With the help of software like Adobe Photoshop, Corel Painter, and Procreate, artists can draw, color, and edit works with a high level of detail. This provides them with greater freedom in choosing their style and technique.

painting
Virtual Reality (VR):

VR technologies allow artists to immerse themselves in a virtual world and create 3D paintings and sculptures. This provides the opportunity to paint in three-dimensional space and view their works from all angles. VR opens up new horizons for experimentation and creativity.

Social networks and online platforms:

Social networks such as Instagram and Pinterest, as well as online galleries, allow artists to showcase their work to millions of people worldwide. This provides greater visibility and the opportunity to receive feedback from the audience.

3D printing:

Using 3D printers, artists can create physical sculptures and art objects. This is a modern way to bridge the boundaries between art and science.

Automation and artificial intelligence:

AI and automation can assist artists in the process of creating, analyzing, and even selling their works. They can use algorithms to generate new ideas and artistic styles.

IN TODAY'S WORLD, ARTISTS HAVE A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY TO BRING THEIR CREATIVE IDEAS TO LIFE USING VARIOUS TOOLS AND TECHNOLOGIES.

Creating Art in the Modern World: Tools and Technologies for Artists

Modern tools and technologies have transformed art, providing artists with more opportunities for creativity and experimentation. However, regardless of the tools used, art still remains an embodiment of inspiration, an expression of emotions, and a story that the creator seeks to tell the world.

The story of the creation of one painting
EVERY PAINTING HOLDS
ITS OWN STORY, AND
SOMETIMES IT'S SO
AMAZING THAT IT SIMPLY
MUST BE TOLD.

Today, I want to share with you the story of creating a portrait made by my own hands, which has become one of the most unusual pieces in my collection. Let's embark on an artistic journey together and discover how an incredible portrait of a man in a white suit with a watermelon on his head comes to life.

“Fruitful Thoughts”
Part 1: Character Story

This image came to me while I was sketching in a park. I was working on some nature sketches when suddenly a crowd of people passed by, led by a groom and a bride. In the midst of this crowd, a man in a white suit with a watermelon sat down on a bench next to me. He wore vibrant glasses reflecting the watermelon and a red butterfly. He took a knife from his pocket, cut a piece of the watermelon, and started eating it. When he noticed me, he gestured and offered me a piece. I sat down beside him and took a bite, saying that the watermelon wasn't very tasty. He decided to surprise me, took my hand, and bit me. Later, I felt unwell, possibly due to that watermelon. However, his eccentric and unforgettable appearance inspired me to contemplate how this moment would look on canvas. And so, th e idea for a portrait was born.

Part 2: From sketch and materials to reality

The next step was creating a sketch. I began my work, aiming to capture every detail of the man's image, his suit, the butterfly, and the glasses, including his watermelon. It was quite a challenge, but I was captivated by the idea and kept moving forward. I chose high-quality acrylic paints to emphasize the vibrant colors and details. The canvas itself had to be special to convey the depth of the image.

Part 3: The creative process and perfection

The most exciting stage began - the process of creation. I poured a piece of my soul into every stroke, aiming to convey the expressiveness and emotion of this portrait. Once the portrait gained more meaning, I started perfecting it. Shadows and light, costume details, and the watermelon – every detail was important to give the portrait harmony and completeness.

When the portrait was ready, I saw something more in it than just an image. It was a story about a vibrant personality, about how we can be bold and unique in a world that is sometimes too serious. I hope this portrait will inspire and remind everyone that art is a form of self-expression.

So concludes the story of creating the portrait "Fruitful Thoughts." Every painting has its unique story, and this is one of them. I hope it has inspired you and allowed you to glimpse into the world of art through my eyes. Currently, the painting is part of a private collection.
